This was taken before I crashed down backwards, sending my hat and glasses flying. Found out the next day that I had chipped a small divot at the end of my left ulna. Whee. We had nice weather for it, though.

Yeow! Glad it wasn't your coccyx!
Ivy's a natural on the ice, of course.

Warning: Objects in photos may be more wobbly than they seem.

I appreciate your solicitous interest in my coccyx, and I can report that not only is it undamaged and in fine form, but so is my left ulna, according to revised reports. The guy at the specialist orthopedic practice is skeptical that the line on my x-ray is, in fact, a divot taken outta the bone. He says maybe I damaged it when I broke the same arm rather badly as a kid. (Thought I'd told that story to everyone I know, but yahoo no. 3 heard it for the first time, he claims, only this evening.) The GP was similarly puzzled by the mark, and he took a second set of pictures of my right wrist for comparison as a result.

Anyhow, it's most likely a soft-tissue injury, and it'll heal up in a few weeks if I take care not to hurt it worse. No concerns for permanent damage or dysfunction -- I'll continue to have two good hands to work with. Plus, I got outta the ghetto fiberglass splint contraption the GP cobbled together and lashed to my entire arm with elastic bandages in favor of a small velcro wristbrace. Hoo-freakin-ray!!
