Might as well do something useful while sitting here thinking of too many things.

One of the things I wanted to do with this site was to document projects as they happen. Recent stuff has felt like too much drudgery to treat that way, and I just wanted to slog through. During therapy, Linda was always all about documenting even that stuff through photos and whatnot as a way of self-validation and celebration. That makes sense to me, but it's also extra work just when you're busy with a lot of work. So I haven't bothered.

But now I'm starting a project that's purely a choice of my own, and it seems a good time to take a shot at fulfilling the Documentation Directive. So I created a page under The Projects to begin that effort. I'll need to remember to take some photos and to take time to update the narrative. But I don't seem to have that much else to do, so why not?

I see the static page as more permanent than blog posts, and it'll have to have child pages to show the steps along the way. I don't much like the blog format for that kind of documentation, because posts are in time order and likely mixed in with other issues and commentary. Better to pull that specific collection of info out on its own in a bounded and more permanent format than what the blog will provide. That's the current thinking, anyhow.
